It's like my favorite drink but whenever i order bartenders are like huh?? and people are always like nasty...its good though...wtf

Water liberates the bouquet of a good Whiskey. It also softens the texture to a more pleaseing degree.
Some choose soda which adds flavor - not a good flavor either.
I like mine with a couple of cubes (melts as it warms) or a splash of PURE water, not cruddy tap stuff.

It a classic-any bartender giving you guff is just a jerk. Drink what you want. Whiskey and water/seltzer/tonic or soda heard of them all and they are in all bartender books so they could look it up and get the balance right. Next time you could make that suggestion;).

its fine, a lot of peeps like scotch or whiskey with water, I am a bartender and i would never say, huh? if you ordered that from me...they are just idiots....to each their own for what you want to drink....

I would think Whiskey and water would just be watering down the Wiskey

Nothing beats a good malt whisky with a splash of water but NEVER ice!!!

I FIND THAT PEOPLE DRINK WATER WITH ALCOHOL BECAUSE THEY ARE LESS LIKELY TO BE LESS INTOXICATED
