A cold can make a cat ooze bloody pus from its eye. Do you actually see a scratch or are you assuming that the presence of bloody pus indicates that he was scratched.
It would probably be a good idea to have the cat seen by a vet. If the irritation, from the illness, is so bad that the eye is oozing bloody pus, your cat could lose its vision.

I don't think the cat confronted any animals. Eye scrape is
the most common for house cats, and could be it is illusive.
The age is possible it is fighting with other cats, true, though
it is that same age they really can run and OOOps do not
have agilities like a mature cat. Punctures from branches
is highly possible, about 20 to 1 of rabies bites.

It sounds infected. It could be from something sharp outside, but it could also be from another animal which may be sick, like a raccoon or something. Take your kitty to the vet immediately, and test for rabies and infection. In the meantime, try to help keep it clean - don't put any medication on it, but help it not to get dust or dirt in it. DO NOT TOUCH IT WITH YOUR BARE HANDS, AND WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER HANDLING YOUR CAT. IF YOU HAVE OTHER ANIMALS, KEEP THEM AWAY UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THERE IS NO THREAT OF RABIES.
Good luck!

I don't know if it's related, but it sounds like your cat's eye is infected. If it doesn't get better in a couple of days, you should get it checked out by a vet.

Take her to the vet. Why do people insist on asking these questions? If you pet is sick take it to the doctor!

you should take her to the vet and they'll probably perscribe some oral antibiotics and something to put in her eye. they could be directly related, but then again not. you never know....
