Yes, the best thing that you can do is, accept that you have a problem there are so many support groups out there. Over eater anonymous is a great group that helps you not only with an over eating problem but also with grief. You can look them up on-line for a group in your area. Good luck and God Bless!

Definitely. There's a condition called 'somatoform disorder' which is physical manifestation of pychological instability in the forms of pain, dizziness, nausea, depression, ect... To me, psychological and emotional instability are very much tied to each other.

I beleive some people do, I lost my mum then 2 months later my husband died, I began to "comfort eat" put on weight felt useless, and negative, but I found a good self help book and cd, I am positive, have lost weight and feel Great. if you are losing weight without trying to a visit to your doctor may put your mind at rest.

it's not something a person on purpose develops..it's something you just fall into, a lot of times people over eat becasue they are sad and feel empty, they try everything and only eating helps, or the exact opposite.
