parent's don't "insist", it's the fat food mongers who stick a fast food joint every 500 feet and right across the strete from one another., They inundate the landscape with this slop.
It's big money.

I hope they make it child cruelty for parents to allow their children to become obese by how they feed them, then they complain because the other kids tease their children when THEY are the problem. You did not say if you have a BBW or not, but some metabolisms thrive on such foods. Why not find in your area if there is one of michell Obama Group fighting obesity. You will be the one paying the Dr bills for your kids unhealthy ways. Certainly you would not stand by to watch her add Poison to their food would you? Tel her you love her son's as if they were yours but you do not want to see heart decease take them early, and say it in front of the boys and say from on now 1 soft drink a day 3 cookies, and right down the line. When I was young we were only allowed 4 soft drink a week 3 cookies per lunch, and We had to first eat dinner before snacks except a piece of fruit after school, junk food is expensive and you can buy twice as much healthy food with the same amount of money, put a lock on the pantry and you not your wife keep the key.

First of, if it's not your kid, what gives you the right to say anything? Secondly, I don't feed my kid crap. I cook every night except for Friday, I do my grocery shopping on Friday. By the time I get home with the groceries, I AM TIRED! I have worked ALL DAY! So has my husband. And let me tell you one more thing, I had fast food at least once a week since I was little, I weigh 115 lbs. That is actually underweight for my height. My baby weighs 29 lbs, and that is perfect for his height. My husband also happens to be within normal range for his height! I am not now, nor have I ever been lazy. Eating out one night a week gives ME a chance to eat something that I didn't have to stand over the stove for and hour or more and cook. So you know what, I will continue to eat my one fast food meal, for the rest of my life, and see absolutely nothing wrong with it!

Sometimes eating at McDonalds is cheaper then making a home cooked meal. Also- some people DO get off their lazy asses and work all day plus take their kids to sports and everything else so they don't have time to sit around preparing some overly elaborate meal every night.

DO YOU HAVE KIDS????? I have diciplined my kids to one fast food meal a week, but honestly if you dont hav kids shut the hell up!!!!!have you tried to shop cook and clean and keep your kids in line all day everyday....its a 24/7 job, and even harder for working parents... fast food is a great break...and a good way to reward your kids if they have had a good day!!! so until you have taken on 2 kids for a minimum of 2 weeks, with ALL the responsabilities there is in raising a child....24/7..... why dont you stick to questions about stuff you do actually have a clue about!!!!

fast food once in awhile wont hurt them.I cant cook but buy mostly healthy things but try raising something other than a pet-take it to school-soccer practice-help with homework etc... and see if occasionally you dont run short on time and need something quick. its easy to look at someone with a job that's not yours and criticize-your dog is miles away from parenting and you dont have a clue

What parents would these be? Since you can't possibly know all of the parents on this planet you can't possibly know that they all feed their kids fast food...Be more specific if you want to be taken seriously?

Its kind of hard when fast food is slammed in every ones faces. I mean, you cant honestly say that you have never supported a fast food restaurant or taken your ?family? out to eat. Have you tried to get a 2 year old to eat raw spinach? Even with ranch he says yuck. I think you just wanted an excuse to say A##

... Fast Food... It's fast (go figure), easy to prepare, cheap (yes) and probably the first thing that comes to mind when parents think about dinner. Of course, it isn't terribly healthy to eat it A-L-L the time.
