Ur dog either has worms and it is bothering them or it just has poo pellets and they r making him itch but, it could be worms and if it consists for more than 2 to 4 days then take it to the vet and get it checked out because it could be very serious.

It means that the dog's anal glands are full and need to be expressed by a vet. It's not a serious medical problem, but it's uncomfortable for the dog, so yo should take it to a vet to have this done within the next couple days (my vet charges about $20 for the service).

Usually, 1 of 2 things are going on.
One, your dog may need his anal glands expressed. There are two anal sacs on the inside of both sides of the rectum that fill with liquid. A lot of times, these sacs need to be manually expressed. (Your veterinarian or vet tech can do this)
or
Your dog could have tape worms which is a parasite transmitted through ingesting fleas.
Have you seen fleas on your furry little friend or any rice grain-like segments in his feces or around his anus? If so, this could be tape worms.
Either way, he needs a quick visit to the vets.

Dogs have these glands in their anus that often get clogged (kind of like a zit) and need to be expelled by hand. When you take your dog to a the groomers they usually do this as part of the service or your vet can do it. They say you can do it yourself, but I wouldnt.

It means his butt itches. More specifically, his anal sac(s) are clogged or inflamed. If your dog does this a lot, you should consider taking him to the vet. If a dog's anal sacs stay clogged for a long time, it can cause a serious infection.

It means that he has problems with the anal glands.. Most people take the dog to the vet to have the vet squeeze the two glands to squeeze out the stuff inside.. but I (or you) can do it yourself and save a vet bill .. It is easy

This is due to their anal sacs are full and they are having trouble expressing them. It is irritating and painful at times.
Also, this could be caused to an allergy or food intolerance. Some dogs have a problem with their glands and need them to be expressed often or only occasionally.
Make an appt. with your vet or groomer asap.

Can often mean Worms tape worm segments can break away and move around the anus causing itching this can make him rub his bottom on the floor. it could also be a sign that his anal glands need to be emptied. Go to see your vet they will advise you.
