Lately I've been feeling like the things that I have been praying for don't even matter much. Partly because it doesn't seem like they will ever happen. When I think about them, I feel hopeless. I don't how to get how to get the passion I had for God, His purpose for me, and my dreams back.

Pangel I hear what you are saying but the things I'm waiting on I can't make happen myself. One of my dreams was to graduate from college, which I did in June. But other things, like healing for my son, I can't make happen.

I don't think there is a person, in any faith, that hasn't gone through what your going through right now. You're so swept up in God that you've lost your sense of self. Like an ant in a colony. I doubt this is what God wants for you.
First, don't worry about your purpose. God works though coincidence. If you have faith and just keep walking, you'll get where He wants you to go.
I'm sensing that you're part of a church that is telling you to do cosmic amounts of charity, give 2 pints a day, and clean up after your neighbor? Okay, yes, I'm exaggerating, but you get my point. Even God took a day off. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you did too.
Besides, how do you know that your dreams aren't part of His plan? Keep the faith and work towards them. You'll be fine. It's like the old saying goes.
" Trust in God, but always tie up your camel." Best wishes.

I understand, I really do. It's difficult to be in a place where you just don't seem to care about much of anything. I felt that way today. I couldn't get motivated to do much. When you feel like this, remember, He is faithful. He will not let you fall. Trust Him. He is with you when you are full of joy and feel like all things are right, He is with you when you feel the way you do today. And God never changes, unlike our feelings, which ebb and flow. Today I ask that the Lord be the lifter of your head, that He remind you that there is a time coming when you will be with Him forever and until then, that He infuse you with His spirit, that you can live a life of joy and victory.

It sounds to me like you are depressed. An imbalance of chemicals in the brain can make you feel as you have just described. You might need an anti-depressant.
Besides this, re-examine your life and figure out what is the most important to you. Plan your goals based on the things that are the most important. If nothing seems important anymore, this is because of depression. And in that case, you will feel better after having an anti-depressant, and then you will be able to plan your goals better after that.

Something is causing you discouragement. I’d spend some time praying about that. If you’re not sure what is causing discouragement, ask God to show you. Sometimes negative thoughts can act like a wall in the mind. Think about what could be causing the negative thoughts. Is it doubt, fear, uncertainty? Whatever it is, turn it over to Christ. He will lift it from your mind if you let him.

Been there mysellf! The only answer I have is to spend more time praying and in the Word.... asking God to reveal Himself to you in a real way and show you what his will is for you.
I do believe that when we seek HIS FACE, we will be blessed.
God Bless,
Sue

Prayer is pretty much pointless.
If God is all-knowing, he knows what you're thinking anyway... so why pray? Aren't you just wasting God's time?
If God gives you what you want, your prayers have been answered.
If God doesn't give you what you want, it's God's Will. He can't lose. Awfully convenient for an all-powerful, all-good deity.
