Why would a man always ask figurative questions like:

Would you marry me? Do you want to have my baby? Do you love me?/How do you REALLY feel about me? Would you cheat on me if I were you husband? Do you want more children?

The baby questions were constant during sex. The other questions would pop up at anytime. I've distanced myself from him several times because, I've asked him about the questions and the things he's said later on, and he didn't seem to want to talk about it. Although I was never very responsive when he asked such questions (as I didn't understand where he was going with his line of questioning), I would think a couple of weeks later he would still be able to say what was on his mind.
In the beginning, I asked him about it and he said he thinks about those things but he's not ready for anything super serious. I told him to hold off on that talk then, but he didn't. I didn't want to mislead him, I didn't want to be misled, so I took a break.

Why all the questions?

Why didn't you ask him?

Thats strange behavior to me. If you do go out, don't respond to those questions unless you are just having a serious discussion. If you get into it and he askes again, tell him to stop and go sit at the kitchen table and just say "OK, Let's Talk".
