Well, technically, when a Siamese cat kills a mouse, it's not considered murder. In fact, most people reward their kitties for killing mice. And just because 2 Siamese kitties are born on the same day, that doesn't mean they're twins... rather litter-mates.

So, I don't think your scenario would hold up in court... UNLESS one of the Siamese kitties had rabies and then bit somebody... nah, even then, the cat would just be put down.

This is a somewhat interesting question. The other twin would obviously be an accomplice or conspirator to the act. Has such an act ever been undertaken?

how could one commit a crime without the other one at least being an observer? One will do time for the crime and the other will do time as an accessory. But more than likely it would be their first time so they would not be jailed, but the tag might be put on maybe their ....ummm...joint leg.

you run into lots of problems with investigation if identical twins have the same dna. You hope your brother or sister confesses to prevent you from going to jail, but if they are selfish enough to have killed someone in the first place, hope you have a solid alibi.

I would have to think that there is a rule or some sort of law in place that each would either responsible for each other's actions or they couldn't be prosected as one. In that case, which twin did it, if the DNA is the same?

I'll leave it up to the Supreme Court....
Or Law and Order. They'll probably tackle the question soon.
