I'm asking this again because people didn't seem to understand my last question. If I drink 1 drink (obviously the one unit, 1 12 oz beer) per hour for long periods of time, say 12 hours in a night, is this physically harmful, considering that it takes an hour to metabolize one drink in the typical healthy individual?

12 beers is excessive and can put you in a coma.
Always eat when you drink and it is a good idea to have a glass of water for every alcoholic drink you have to replace fluids.
remember , alcohol will lower your blood sugar even if you do not have diabetes and this is very dangerous.

the human body recognizes and treats alcohol as a poison. It ruins the liver. Therefore 1 per hour for 12 hours is quite a lot. 1 dose of poison per hour.
