I am so sick and tired of my brother, he thinks that he can have 50% of my money for no reason at all!! We agreed that once my mom gives me back the money she owes me, I'll use it to fix up my computer, but he thinks we should split that money even though he just bought a pair of $80 shoes!! I need something to calm my nerves before I end up hurting someone, I didn't spent 2 years saving up so I can see half of it go to my brother!! It's just not fair. He's supposed to be the responsible one because he's oldest. (I need to calm down)

how old are you? if you are a minor, it almost sounds like you are being abused...if you are an adult, learn to say NO! when your money hungry family starts in on you...

listen hear, you poor thing! are you the only one in your family with any sense of responsibility or that has an income?? how come your mom and your brother think of your money as being at their disposal? durn!

go outside and pound on the ground til you get your anger out...and then make yourself a plan for keeping your money out of their reach!

i'd actually like some more details about this whole situation...like, your age, why your brother feels entitled to half your money...why your mom borrows from you, where your money comes from...if you feel like it, fill us in...

For starters if that's your money why is your brother acting like he's your pimp and should get 50% of your money. That's not right and really is a cut and dry situation tell him to get a job because it's one thing to be able to help someone if you want to but it's another thing for somebody to assume that they have claims on your money.

I feel it is important to be honest with your family and let them know how you feel. It looks like you really care about your family and have helped them out by loaning and sharing money but this can really lead people to debt and financial crisis. Before you get there, you need to set it straight and take care of yourself. Don't feel guilty! It is your money. Believe me it won't be easy but I have talked to a lot of people who have been so generous it caused them to lose it, emotionally and financially.

tell him to make his own money. My brother too is like that he is older but he is always asking me for money and taking my money. I guess thats what older brothers do. But just calm down. When I get angry I make sure I go to my karate place (Tae Kwon do) and I fight alot of guys. I may get my butt kicked(I'm a girl) but it makes me feel better try something like that or go out for awalk that'll make oyu feel better hopefully..

it's pretty simple, it's your money - make sure you mom gives YOU back YOUR money and you get your computer fixed and put the rest away.
of course he thinks you should share your money, because it's your's. i am sure if it was reversed he wouldn't be so willing to share it.
stand firm and stand strong and explain to him that it is your money - if he does not understand - make it real simple for him (MINE! not your's)
good luck !!1

and he thinks he deserves half of this money why? listen this is your money you don't have to share it with him, regardless of what he thinks or what he says. if he tries to make you give It to him then i would tell your mother. let her deal with him.
