I had been watching a program called Daily Planet and according to them there is a super HD that is coming out. This type of system is supposedly coming out in Japan.

Yes there is a "super HD" system under development, but no-one expects it to replace consumer HD for some time, if ever. (It is being developed for medical and scientific uses.) As with all improvements like this, there is a law of diminishing returns. The better a system is, the harder it is to make significant improvements, and the cost of those improvements keeps increasing. Many people feel that the improvement from ordinary TV to HDTV is only incremental and some don't even appreciate the difference. It will be even harder to see the difference in "super HD" and it will cost a whole lot more. We are more likely to see technology improvements within the current HD standards: better displays, lower cost displays, etc.

I think the next generation of tv that would be way cool is interactive 3d tv where it immerses you in the film that you watch. Example: imagine been a side kick in ur favorite martial arts film ohhh man the future would be so sweeeeet.

they have HD dvd players that go with HD t.v's so maybe something that has to do with blu-ray. its the new technology in dvd players so maybe they'll have tv's that "enhance" the viewing experience of blu-ray movies
