Creatine companies can trick you, so be careful! I read an article that showed a very inexpensive brand of Creatine that advertised, "100% pure Creatine Monohydrate". When the powder was analyzed it only contained a small amount of creatine. The way they got away with this, was that the little amount of Creatine that was in the supplement was 100% pure. Notice that it didn't say, "Contents are 100% Creatine Monohydrate". It only said that is was "100% pure"! You have to be careful with the wording, because to my knowledge there are still some companies that do this!! Research, and buy a brand that weightlifters are using, and rating very high!! It is gonna cost you a little more, but don't take a chance!!
Also be sure that if you buy a supplement with other ingredients, that you read the exact amount of creatine that it contains. I don't recommend doing this at all. By pure Creatine Monohydrate and mix it with something like protein powder and other supplements, to create your own drink. Get the powder version of at least 80% creatine and mix. Otherwise you will be duped, and really be disappointed.

When you take creatine make sure that you always drink lots of water because the creatine will draw the water in your body to the body part that you are working. Take the creatine alone. Do the loading phase for a few days then back off to the maintaining phase. I took it for 3 months. I gained 40 lbs., my flat bench press went up from 315 lbs. to 405 lbs. and my strength in every exercise went freakin crazy. Be careful and good luck!!!!!

Well creatine, from my experience, is to help recovery time for muscles. So you can work your muscles out more often. That coupled with natural proteins from sources like egg whites, tuna fish and chicken....which are all high in protein and low in fat will help you get lean muscle mass. Hope that helps.....I never really cared for the creatine plus____, just creatine was the best supplement for me.

first of all, stay well hydrated, creatine will help your mussles hold water... and go into your local GNC. and ask the toughest looking guy what he uses, and stick to a diet.

Get the powder. Don't expect to see results from just drinking it though, you have to be working out at your peak. Drink it 15 minutes before you're going to be exhausted from working out, and it will help you work out even more, beyond what you would be able to normally go. If you don't use it right, you're just paying for expensive pee, coz you'll just piss it out.

Change your muscle mass through diet and exercise, not powders and pills.
Remember ephedra? How many other " supplements" are out there that can KILL you that they don't know about yet?
Good, lean proteins should get you there, along with solid weight training. Leave the miracle pills and powders in the store.

Beware. I have read of several young male athletes using this stuff, and then their personality changes, they become 'a completely different person' some parents say, mood swings, very mean behaviour, terribly irritable, etc. May not happen to you, just be aware of any changes in your moods when taking the stuff. Monitor yourself over time.
And it was definitely creatine they were talking about, not dhea, not steroids, nothing but creatine. They blamed the creatine, one reason is because as soon as the boys went off it, their personalities started returning to normal.
