You may find that having two birds will mean two times the noise factor. If one bird is screaming, the other may try and 'out-scream' that bird, and so on ...

I dont think it is twice the noise if u got 2, I got a bird of my own and she screams alot, its just thats shes lonley and always bored i guess but my parents wont let me get another so she can have friends. If u had 2 bird they wont tweet as loudly beacuse they both are talking to each other instead of asking for attention.

Two birds will be more happy then one. In case of the Lovebirds, they will make loud noise. But if you only have one, it will be lonesome. When they make loud noise and there is two, that is a sign of happiness. One bird alone is not good. BUT make sure you have a pair. If you have two females, they will continually fight. Not good. But two males can get along Great. Seems like the same for human attitude Ha, ha.

You may be surprised, birds often squawk when they are bored or alone. If you get a second bird, instead of screeching loudly, the two may spend quality time together, and get to know each other instead of screaming.

No I have 4 male cockatiels. Every so often they all will make a lot of noise. Generally it is only one.

If you get a female they hardly ever squawk.
