I am totally for it, I said this time and time again. If they want to become citizens than pay up your long overdue. If they knew they had to , they would go back real quick I bet. Also the government needs to stop giving away aid to them.

First of all "most" of the illigal immigrants came here without a choice. Because thier parents brought them here.
It is not fair to send these kids to a country they don't remember and where they don't have as good of chance for a better life. They are already in school with your kids learning and getting a quality education.
I say this country with the exception of native americans is made up of immagrents.
But while the high number of immigrants in the United States is an issue, it's not a crisis, and it is certainly not an invasion.
Up to 40 percent of the illegal population entered the country legally and overstayed their visas.
Who would blame them for wanting to stay. I still beleive in what this country was based on the right to be free.

And who do you propose fills in for all the "illegals" spots in labor? Cuz i dont know too many people who want to do some of the work that they are doing now. And the citizenship process takes forever. I think a better proposition is this. Let all the people who are here already stay and become citizens. Then just up the patrols and make the borders tighter.

Try telling them that. They won't peacefully agree to anything......that's the problem. Look at Elvira. There's some that just won't take no for an answer. Many that wouldn't have qualified in the first place and won't go back. There's been an increase of people who have applied and are trying to go about it legally now. You'd think they would be happy having the worst of their criminal element caught and deported......but they aren't. Seems they need to start looking at the fact that there are a large number of not so nice people in "their" group and start looking out for the welfare of America and not just "their" people.

I do not believe this would work after all the natives of North America didn't ask to be discovered because we were not lost only the lost white man who supposedly discovered the USA but then again he didn't discover the USA but Cuba. It took him 3 voyages to land on the American main land. So no ,if they are already here it would be a problem to deport so many.

Yes they should go back. They don't respect our country or our laws, things that made this country great. They just want whatever money or free services they can get here. They're not hard working, they are lazy and just want a hand out. They don't want to become a part of this country, they want to make our country into Mexico. They are ruining our country and are criminals, and should be treated as such. We need to enforce the laws and prosecute the employers who hire them. The "Day with out immigrants day" protest was a joke, and just showed we don't need them. All that happened was a couple of Mexican restaurants closed down early. The cowardly politicians are at fault too. They are showing their incompetence and not doing their job, to protect us and enforce our laws.

Yes, you are correct. that way they would enter legally and pay a penalty for the taxes they used while they were here ILLEGALLY. How will you know for sure how long they were here illegally? Do you think they will tell the truth (not)? There may be some records available, such as job records, medical, rental, welfare, etc.

Great in fantasy land. They will never voluntarily go back. They are escaping abject poverty and a different kind of political corruption than what we obviously enjoy here. It is very good in America in comparison. It is too late in any case. Look around you, bilingual everything. A free ride in terms of taxes, medical care and education. Why go back? And now a proposal of social security benefits too? Learn Spanish Amigo. They have taken over without firing a single shot.

yes!~ for the most part~ But!!! I do not think America should allow that many people of just one ethnic group to enter our country in a short amount of time~ it would set off the balance of are races, and that is never good!~ we must also consider the rate at which they multiply! this is a crucial factor!

Raising the taxes would never fly. You'd be more likely to get back taxes like the current plan says.
