Excema. Elidel is for excema and if it helps then that's what it's for. I use a cream called Desoximetasone cream USP .25%. It makes the rash go away quicker than Elidel. But no matter what you use, the rashes will come back. You just have to keep using the cream.
I get it on my elbows too.

hi, you elbows are dry and that is why you have a rash , all you got to do is just keep it wash and clean so that it don't get infected and at night before you go to bed just put some kind of baby rash ointment on it and in the morning wash it off and put moisturizer lotion on your arms and legs because this could happen to your knees too ,, but you should be fine don't worry that much about it ,, if you see that its not getting better in a few days and the rash starts getting infected then you should go and get medical attention OK. i hope that everything goes well for you ,take care
good luck

If you get the rash only on your elbows it's probably what is called unspecific contact dermatitis which is a fancy way of saying your elbows are touching something that makes you have a reaction.

What do your elbows come in contact with during the course of the day that other parts of your body does not?

*** it's either psoriasis or eczema. i had the same thing myself, but i think mine was stress related. either way, after probably 5 yrs or so it finally went away. that's the only place i ever had it too was just on my elbows, and i was sooooooo self conscious about it. the doctor said tho' that it really wasn't that bad (probably an area about the size of a toonie on each elbow), and i guess when u compare it to other people's it probably wasn't that bad, but it bothered me just the same.

It could be elbow cancer, you should definitely ask your doctor about it.
