Hi Emma...does he have access to a litter box while he's indoors? Additionally, if he's not neutered this would contribute to the problem as well as male cats reach sexual maturity between 5-7 months of age and mark their territory with urine spraying and at times with feces.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

Keep the litter box cleaned out. A cat will NOT defacate or urinate outside of it's litterbox, unless it is not clean, or if therehas been a change within the household recently, the cat is upset over something. Usually it's the litterbox not being clean, or they may not like the smell of the litter you are using. Are you sure the child is not going to the litterbox and pulling the poo out? I have known children to do it. Get a box the child cannot place her/his hands in.

I used to work for a vet and he gave me wonderful advice that worked!! Although it might not be practical with a 2 year old in the house....
I had a cat that would pee in the same two spots even when his litter box was spotless! My vets advice was to put his food dishes right where he went because they are picky animals and will not eliminate where they eat. This actually worked for me!! Like I said though probably not practical in your home. Vets do sell sprays and such that are supposed to help also but thats only if your willing to invest money on this cat...

Do you keep the litter box clean? Did you recently switch to a different brand of cat litter? Has he been neutered yet? Cats can be very picky about their litter boxes, and male cats usually stop spraying after being neutered. Your local SPCA should be able to neuter your kitten inexpensively.

does he still have the litter box insse, if not, maybe you need to replace it. Also he may be used to going anywhere he wants outside and assumes tht is ok inside. Remember, there are lots of things outside that are dangerous for cats. including lots of things that are poisin, dogs, cars, people that are retarded and will purposefully do harm to your cat. not to mention lots of diseases and ferreal cats that can fight w/ yours. please use caution when you leave your cats outdoors.
