I have a plantar wart and have been to see a podiatrist. In fact, he has tried to freeze it off twice and it hasn't yet gone away. Are there any "sure fire" techniques out there to get rid of them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hate plantars warts!! I had one on the bottom of my toe, and i used so many different methods to try to get rid of it! The product that was a miracle worker for me was Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Wart Remover Fast-Acting Liquid. What you do is just put some of the liquid over your wart. Let it dry, and then put the cover discs (bandaid type thing) over it (they come with it).The next day, after you shower, get a foot file and file off the dead skin of your wart. Then just put on the liquid like u did the day before. It's a cycle. I did this and it took about a month before it was completely gone!!! Good luck!

i had one too, and it took about a month to go away. i used an over the counter wart removing gel. i recommend the gel over the other products. i then would cover it with a disk (which i had from another kit that didnt work effectively). i used a pumice stone and filed it down. after a couple of weeks, the inner part of the plantar wart was gone, and i let it heal. it hasn't come back since.

You can get rid of it with garlic.

Just peel some raw garlic, take one of the small buttons, cut off a piece that is only large enough to cover the wart and maybe a tiny bit of the surrounding area, tape the wet part of the cut piece over the wart. Change bandage three timesdaily. Should be gone in a week or so..

They are hard to get rid of. You will probably need to have it cut out. Even then they reappear. Al least that was my Mother's experience.

Excerpt from Yahoo News:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Duct tape does not work any better than doing nothing to cure warts in schoolchildren, Dutch researchers reported on Monday in a study that contradicts a popular theory about an easy way to get rid of the unattractive lumps.

I tried duct tape it didn't work for me. What worked was a mix of 1 tspn of baking soda with 2 tspn of castor oil. Stir in a paste. I applied to the wart 3 times a day. Cover with a band aid.
It took 10 days to get rid of it.

I have had them before~ and i have found that keeping pressure off the p. wart (like staying away from wearing tight footwear) and simply applying non-prescript. wart removing liquid/keeping it totally clean clears it up quick~ might work...
