Sure, that would make you a non-practicing believer.
(most religions do prefer that you practice your faith)

You have to decide yourself. I think it's all one God viewed from different aspects. So some aspects will of course say "yes you need to go to church" You really have to choose something which makes you feel true to yourself. If that is going to a hillside or beach once a month or having some private thoughts everyday, that still counts. It's your true intention, with pure heart which is important, well i think. Be aware though...we can all trick ourselves. For example by telling ourselves "so and so doesnt go to church therefore it must be ok", or convincing ourselves that sitting in a church going through the motions without true intention is going to tick the box. Everyone deserves fulfullment. Give yourself the time to work out what is right. My instinct on your question is if you're asking should you be going then you've instinct to go, it's having discipline and courage to make that choice. I really do send my best wishes, stick in there sometimes it takes time for fruit to be produced. Remember-open heart.

The "church" is ideally the people, or the whole body or bride of Christ. Whether you have fellowship in a physical church, or online by sharing wisdom and establishing greater understanding here, you are still participating in building the greater church.

A Lutheran pastor once described church fellowship as blood circulating back to the heart to "re-oxygenize" before going back out into the world to feed the cells of the body. It makes sense that people have different paths to travel that may or may not require returning to church each week to refresh. I think your path and regular routine in life is between you and God.

I also trust in God to guide me how and where to seek fellowship and wisdom. I always go to church wherever I am invited (as I believe God is asking me to share something with those neighbors for a reason), while I spend the majority of my time interacting at work, in community activities, or online as a part of real-life fellowship.

I believe someday everyday will be as the Sabbath, and our whole lives can be lived as ministry service to God. We will still work, or go to school, or enjoy personal activities just like we do now; but it will all be in the same spirit as church fellowship and sharing.

According to the scriptures at Hebrews 10:24, 25: “Let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.”
To carry out this Scriptural command, there must be Christian meetings that we can attend on a consistent basis. Such an arrangement encourages us to express love toward others, not only concern about self.

Yes you can.

James 2:19 says "...the devils also believe, and tremble." I don't suspect the devils went to church much. I also don't suspect they were saved or pleasing to God either, but they believe.

John 12:42 says, "Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him..." These Jewish rulers believed on Jesus, but would not confess. Without confession, you cannot be saved.

The question is not if you believe God, but do you trust Him and Love Him? The church is called the "body" of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23). How can you love Jesus and not care about His own Body?

i asked this question to an older man once and got told this. How many large men would it take to make you eat a bowl of dog food? after several minutes we decieded it would take a few at the least. he then said now if i were to wave a magic wand and turn you into a baset hound how many large me would it take? i then said only the one that was holding the bowl.
Non-believers dont go to church beacuse they dont like what it says.
Truly saved people long to be closer to God. Church is a fine place to get closer to God. you will never be perfect but it does help to keep satan at bay while you work some things out with God.
MY PERSONAL BELIEF
If you are saved you will want to go to church. you dont have to but you get to.

Basically you can have your church anywhere, a one on one with God- Jesus........I just started going again.

Church is kinda like religion ...... you can do with out it, especially if you feel you have a personal relationship with God.

Although God's capacity to love and hurt is greater than ours, and God does feel the hurt when many of us decide not to go to Church. I now see it basically as an appointment with God, it's only one day a week to praise him, even though I go to the chapel at work in the hospital everyday.

God Bless you

I guess it depends who you ask. Some people feel you MUST visit church to call yourself a believer. I don't feel that way. I used to go to church, but my church has become so big and impersonal that it's not as fulfilling as it used to be. We actually have to get a "ticket" to visit for Christmas and Easter services because they're so popular. There's no law that says you have to go to church to believe in God or talk to him. He's all around us at all times - just talk to him with an open heart. He will listen. The bible doesn't state that if you don't go to church, you're a bad person.

Here are a few scriptures....

(Hebrews 10:24-25) . . .And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, 25 not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as YOU behold the day drawing near.

So we are encouraged to gather together.... see why?

Also:

(James 2:19) . . .You believe there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder.

Belief is not enough....

With that said.... where do you go???? So many churches??? Which one is right? Want the answer?? PM or Email me...

Yes of course. God is not in bricks and mortar shaped by man. I do not go to church becuse I found the hypocrisy of some members too much but God is in the forces of nature and the wonder....of it all....far more than a gathering of random people who often have a bag load of issues they are afraid to deal with. He is there for you never fear.....

Yes you can but the bible says

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

There is strength in coming together as a family and also the power of covenant.
