Open up Start, Go to My Computer, and look for a drive Named A: or Floppy Disk Drive. Double Click it and you've opened it up.
Remember to format your floppy disk before you put anything onto it as sometimes this courses your data to be lost when it is removed from the drive :)

It should work if you put it on - unless the disk is read-only or capacity is full.
When you put a floppy disk in, you shouldn't automatically get anything coming up.
You must go to My Computer and double click on Floppy Drive.

Go to Start | Run. In the box, type A: (a colon) and press enter. If Windows displays an error message, your disk is lunched. If an explorer window opens showing your file, it's fine.
There's no equivalent to AutoPlay for diskettes.

go to my computer and open the A drive, it should be there. Otherwise there is something wrong with either your drive, disk, or you didn't properly put the file on the disk

There is no auto start on floppy discs, just use Explore and open the files manually

Are you sure the PPT file copied?
When you double-clicked a: did you see the file?
If so, by double-clicking the file in a: Powerpoint should open PPT as well as the file.

hold the "windows key", and press "R"
type "cmd" and hit enter
type "cd a:\"

you should see your files.
