The first Christian religion was the Church that Christ was leading. Once he was gone, the members eventually died off, were killed, or fell away and apostasized, falling back to Jewish or Roman influence and worship. This was fulfillment of prophecy - that there would be a falling away and a restoration. So any Church that claims to be a continuance of Christ's church through Peter or any other means is definitely not the correct church. Christ's church DISAPPEARED. Also, any Church today that claims to be connected all the way back to Peter has strayed so far from Christ's way of doing things that there is no longer any resemblence whatsoever. The only true and correct church will be a RESTORED church, per prophecy - one that has a prophet and 12 apostles leading it (not a Pope), believes in baptism by immersion, temple work, tithing, prayer to God (not Mary or saints), Priesthood power, revelation, the companionship of the Holy Ghost after baptism, rejects celibacy and upholds family life, etc. THAT church will be a continuation of Christ's church.

I believe that they were first called the "Nazarenes", and the "first Christians" were the followers at the Church of Antioch, according to the Acts of the Apostles.
The RCC came about three centuries later as the official state religion of Rome, around 325 AD. The Great Reformation which began in the 15-16th century AD sprouted the first Protestant denominations until today...
Peace be with you.

To answer that question we need to determine what YOU mean exactly when you say "Christian Religion". In fact, I'd love to take this opportunity to say that the Christian God HATES religion. Does that seem like a bizarre thing to say?
God would much rather have a personal, one on one RELATIONSHIP with YOU. Not a particular church or denomination or physical heritage.
God already knows you. You need to get to know Him in order to have a real personal relationship. And the way to do that is to read His word contained in the Bible and getting to know who Jesus is. He is our Mediator between God and man. He was, and is, and forever will be 100% human and 100% divine.
Read the third chapter of the Gospel of John where Christ is talking to Nicodemus.

The Coptic's were also the originators of the Nicene Creed, which was later adopted by all other Christian Churches of the day. Roman Catholicism, in it's present form came centuries later.

Apostolic Christianity (the teachings of Jesus by the apostles to the early churches).
Catholicism was hardly the first denomination, seeing as how Roman Catholicism was started by Emperor Constantine in 313AD.
The early Christians had nothing more than the teachings of Christ as their foundation. Primarily the gospel according to Matthew, John, and Paul. Matthew and John recorded their gospels themselves, Paul's gospel is the foundation of Luke's but Luke also got information from other sources, mostly witnesses of Christ and Mary the mother of Jesus.
The concept of the church building, baptismal font, pulpit, crucifix, etc. were all added as tradition. The basic core concepts of the early church were studying scripture, prayer, baptism, communion, martyrdom and evangelism.

Everyone called it "The Way".The Apostles said "This is the way to heaven, through faith in Jesus."
It's what Peter,Paul, John, and all the rest preached throughout the 1rst century. After a hundred years or so,the churches who were most powerful began to Lord it over the others, and make up man made rules. Finally ,the Roman Church,The Eastern Orthodox, and the Egyptian Coptics split, and things were screwy until Martin Luther ,John Hess ,John Knox and the like.Martin Luthers cry of "Scriptures Only"(Solas Scripturas)help bring man back to the Apostles way of teaching.

There is only One True Church and Jesus The Christ is The Head of The Church. The Church, which is made up of The Body of all those of The True Christian Faith, began on the day of Pentacost following the assention of Christ to heaven. This remains The Only Church.
All of the "denominations" "religions", "sects",that refer to themselves as Christian, are man invented.

Well, Judaism was the first one to believe in the living God. If you mean denominations, each church met based on their understanding of the Bible, so I would say Church of Christ, because they all have independant beliefs *I'm A/G, for the reference*
