In His day He would have been considered a liberal, because he didn't follow all the strict interpretations of the conservative pharisees.
The word "liberal" today has many meanings. For some, it means you don't believe the bible is the Word of God. Jesus wouldn't have fit in to that definition, as He believed the old testament was God's Word. But in His interpretations, He was blasted for being too liberal.

A moderate. Many liberals would hate Him because of that whole "Go and sin no more thing", and the fact that He acknowledged that certain things were sinful.
They'd say He was judgemental.
I don't know how the conservatives would feel about Him...but I think He would be embarrassed that some conservatives call themselves Christians when they're not.

It's hard to transfer what Jesus taught in that day to present times, politically speaking.

Just because he saved the woman caught in the act of adultery, does that mean he would be against ALL death penalty cases? And, if you noticed, while he saved her, he didn't back down on saying she was wrong. ("Go & sin no more.") I can imagine liberals screaming, "Who are you telling her what to do with her own body!"

He obviously wanted the poor to be taken care of, but does that mean he would have wanted the government to be in charge of it? And 50% of the rich man's income being confiscated to pay for it? That sounds more like Robin Hood than Jesus Christ!

He said you have to pay your taxes, but would he have voted for a politician who advocated fixing things by higher taxes?

He taught obedience to the government, but does that mean he wanted a big government?

I can't imagine Jesus being anything but disgusted by mid to late- term abortions, but the Bible is not specific on the subject. The issue of "when life begins" would have to be answered, first.

I think he would be a crunchy conservative, so that is what I am because I want to be like Him. Most people on here, at least the ones who believe in Jesus, would probably say that Jesus would be whatever they are because they wouldn't be that if they didn't honestly believe it was right (hopefully).

Why do you ask questions about Jesus when you do not believe in Him or His Father? Your question is pointless, anyway. He would be exactly what He is and was. He is the Son of the Living God. Make your peace with Him. Noone is promised tomorrow.

jesus would be very liberal. not judgemental, probably what we now refer to as a tree huggin hippie. he'd work in a non profit and volunteer all his extra time at shelters and doing victim advocacy work. he'd be really embarrassed by ted haggard and rush limbaugh and completely against the war and darfur.

None of the above. Jesus always conducted Himself as a King should. He didn't jump through any-body's hoops.
