Hi. I was just wondering, what are some good shampoos and conditioners out there that help control dry frizzy hair? My hair has kinda been dry lately from the winter, and it is getting lots hairs that stick up around my face from being damaged by straightening it a lot (and don't say to stop straightening it, because I wont :P). Anyone know?

I was going to tell you to straighten it. Thats what did it for me. Maybe get some leave in conditioner and use some product (something for smoothing and straightening) as well to help protect it before you straighten it.

Good Luck Girl!

Hello hydration does work well for dry hair, but its still a low end product. I would first suggest using a GOOD hot oil treatment suggested by your hairdresser, or do an online search. I am caucasian, but I use the oil products for African American hair. I put it on and leave it as long as I can, then follow by washing it with some GOOD shampoo that moisturizes(think Tigi) and the same conditioner(the one that goes with the Tigi shampoo you used.) Another thing to do would be to dab some leave in conditioner in your hair before the processing, just not too much or it could end up looking greasy. Good luck!

My hair is the same way but its long, most the time I striaghten it, I don't know what I would do with out my straigtening iron, it makes a HUGE improvement!! I use Aussie Shampoo and conditioner, also theres a product called "frizz ease" and is Great! I use it too after striaghten it, and it give it the shinny look (but NOT greasy) and it still has its volume. Always rinse with the coldest water you can stand after using a shampoo and conditioner. The cold water "locks down" the hair cuticle and makes hair appear slicker, less frizzy. But if you don't want straight hair, still yet try frizz ease, it takes care of frizz and fly aways, its great! I promise! And I also agree with the people who say Tail N Mane . Its good.

Use the shampoos and conditioners that are designed for straightening hair. These fight frizz and are perfect for what you want to do with your hair. That said, Sunsilk does a great job and it is inexpensive. If you want a higher end, Matrix does a great job too. I also recommend that you get a serum called Kerastase Oleo-Relax. This does wonders for dry and damaged hair. You use a couple drops of this on your wet hair and a couple more when your hair is dry. Your hair will miraculously changes to silk. Great product for dry hair-

I think a good heat protecting conditioner is more important. As far as broken ends is concerned, Nexxus Assure shampoo. Paul Mitchell makes a good leave in conditioner for heat treated hair, they are just too expensive so search around for something like that. If you have static electricity that makes your hair fly away then use a fabric dryer anti static sheet and wipe it in your hair after styling.

I used to use VO5 hot oil conditioner. I had bad frizz after I had a perm that fell out the same day. I used the hot oil and my hair would look tons better. I would also recommend Frizz Ease and Thermasilk Moisturizing. Those all are some GREAT products.

I am using this shampoo from L'occitane (French Page), it's really good but it's a bit pricey, you can check out the details here: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=324
