Several times in my life I literally was within a hair's breath of death and He saved me by making sure I was in the right place at the right time.

Then there are the sunrises and sunsets. Do you realize from where each one of us views the sunrise or sunset, we each see it a little bit differently? And it's continually changing. How wonderful, how loving God must be to give each one of us a picture as big as the sky continually changing in such beauty and splendor that no one can even come close to duplicating it.

And the stars! Oh, how can anyone look in the night sky and doubt the existence of God? I absolutely refuse to believe that someone's soul is not touched when the behold the heavens on a clear night.

Then there is the earth itself. When I drive along roads no matter what the season, I remember that God said in the Bible that summer, winter, spring and fall will not cease until the end of time. Spring is when the fields and trees are pregnant after their long winters rest with the promise of a bounty that is a blessing indeed! Summer comes and like a woman in midterm, there is a glow of health and well being on the fields and woods. Then autumn! Everywhere you look God has poured out his cornucopia for us all. Then winter when the earth rests and the cold purifies and prepares for another cycle. Who else but God could have set in motion something so wonderous?

I could fill a book on why I believe in God. I think everyone is borne with a void that can only be filled by God. I think he calls us all the time. You only have to look. He's there in every act of love you see, from a dad walking with his little son's hand in his, to the mother soothing a sick child.

He is there.

I believe in God because to not do so would be absurd. If there is all this stupidity, all this violence, all this wretchedness in the world, it only makes sense that there is a corresponding place where there is happiness and bliss. Think about it.

When I think of things I've experienced in my life - especially those of "life and death"...I know it was NOBODY BUT GOD that brought me through.

PRAISES BE UNTO GOD FOR HIS MERCY TOWARD ME!
