there is an option to direct connect or search other host on limewire. i need to know how to find mine so i can give it to my friends to connect with.

Well i couldn't find anything either, but I hardly use lime wire. I would recomend you go to there forum site at:

In response to pressure from the Recording Industry Artists Association (the fat cat music executives), Limewire went Open Source, and off shore, so that it is all FREE!
