Because they have "things of the world" on their mind, which Paul said to stay away from, instead of God's Word the Bible

Because they are lovers of the world and not the Word of God. The Bible speaks of this growing more and more in the last days. It's sad that children can know all the dances, sing all the lyrics and not even know the books of the bible or a memory verse...But grown ups are no better and then again who teaches the kids? They learn by us!

Paris H and sports are real , Religion is a well thought out brain washing and really just a bunch of hear say passed on down the line. Ever hear something and pass it on, It just keeps getting more and more extravagant and falsified to make it sound better the further it gets. All opinions need some spursing up, just to make it more believable.. plus if we all came from Adam and eve, then we are all incestuous. Gross to even think about.

It really depends on what the media is playing up these days. In the past, the church leader shared equal status with a governor/ruler. Somehow, people were also more in tuned with their religion too. In fact, religion was well integrated in the lives of people. But a shift in priorities in societies meant that relgion was no longer a priority in their lives. I totally agree with you that people are getting more secular these days.

I think that some people find celebrities more entertaining and interesting than things they werent around for 1000s of years ago. Plus, they like to live vicariously through the people they see on tv. Humans are sluts for glamor!

Because we live in a decadent culture. The average person also knows more about sport figures and celebrities than they do about world leaders and historical figures. Not much you can do, by yourself to change the tide. Just be glad you were spared.

Because they haven't heard of Jesus, the Bible, and God. I'll bet half of those people have never been in a church! We must witness now to save the lost. The time of salvation is now!

see its kind of like the colts offense, Payton Manning is a really flashy guy and fun to watch, but all the lineman who really get the job done are all too boring to care about

I'd rather be in Paris Hilton than have the "Holy Spirit" in me. She may have a bigger shoe size than her IQ but at least she is real.
