Not for loads of money, NO, but if I loved the guy and parents friends or family didn't like him, I would cos parents and family die unfortunately, and friends move on. You have to think of yourself and your happines, money doesn't buy happiness. x

You will in efffect make 'loads of money' if you keep your wedding a secret because if everyone knows then you will end up succumbing to to all the paraphanalia of a big wedding with all your friends and family coming because you can't leave anyone off the list. This will cost you a small fortune, so not doing it will put you financially ahead. Everyone who feels that they should have been there will hate you for a while but with the coming and going of the seasons they will eventually learn to remember your birthday again and may even invite you round over christmas although there will be awkward/bitter moments whenever weddings are mentioned. Weddings should be cheerful affairs within the budget of all the parties concerned. You can make your vows and promises with family and friends around without trying to make it a celebrity event. A happy afternoon is what most people will enjoy and remember. I always feel that the party & disco bit in the evening is really over-rated. A nice wedding service, a glass of champagne and a bit of cake etc. is really enough and properly done will do nicely.

yes, I would. Because when you get married, it is hard at first. If you can have extra money for not telling anyone, then keep it a secret. Besides after the wedding and after you get the money you can have a little reception or party for all your family and friends.

Why on earth would you need to keep it secret?

This is not a little thing but a life changing commitment, that you both ought to be so happy and proud of, that you can heardly stop yourself from telling people in the street, never mind keeping it secret.

If you don't feel like that, why are you getting married?

No, as I would like my parents to be there. It's the happiness day of my life so I'd want everyone to know about it, no amount of money is worth me not having my mum and sister there on my special day

No. Religion seems a major problem here. Don't even get married.

My dad and sister would kill me if I got married without them, so the money wouldn't do me good for long.
