If there's nothing in the Recycle Bin then you'll need an undelete utility. Some are free, some are commercial. Try the free and commercial ones listed in the sources, but try not to install them on the same device that you stored your pictures on. (They may inadvertently install over whatever it is you wish to recover.)

Then buy a DVD rewriter and set yourself a backup regime. If you value it, duplicate it.

Good luck.

The best way to restore data is use some softwares. But we need to know what type of Operating System you have i.e. Windows 2000, Windows Xp, or Mac Os. The next thing you need to know is the type of File System you have or FAT (File Allocation Table) i.e. FAT, FAT32, NTFS etc which can be seen by going on to my computer and Right Click on the one of the Drives like 'c' or 'd' then click on the properties, and it will be under General Tab (that's how you check in Win XP) it really depends what type of system you have and then you can get some free data recovery software form www.download.com. or you can go for Smart Data recovery which is available on the website I've listed above that is free to use and user friendly as well.
But I must say there is one thing you have to be very careful with you must try it once if you have problems with it just ask help because once you have tried to recover the file and the file is corrupt you will not be able to reopen that file.

The recycling bin. Go to that, and just make sure you don't empty it. It should all be in there. Good luck.
