One of my guy friends from High School who I dated the summer after my freshman year in college has called me every week about 3 or 4 times for a year and a half. We are really good friends and always have good conversations when we talk. He has known that I have liked him still since that summer but it has just never worked out for us. He came and saw me last weekend and it went really well. I plan on seeing him over Christmas break. We talk all the time and live about 3 hours from each other.

Your grammar is very guy. If you were a guy, you could be asking this question to know how other guys think so you can decide how to act. If so, you would be hoping for a general rule about how girls take such things. The truth is - it varies from guy to guy, and from girl to girl. Some guys call right away, and it works for the girl, and there is magic. Some guys wait and it works for the girl, and there is magic. Some guys call right away and the girl feels stalked and it blows up. Some guys wait and call, and the girl feels blown off or like he is playing, and it doesn't work. Its a roll of the dice. If you are a guy then you have to take your best impression of who she is and how she will respond and take your best shot. If you are a girl then you should hope he does the following instead of following some lame urban lore about how long to wait. If you are a guy, I really suggest the following: Learn grammar. Girls are very articulate and verbal. They are amazing communicators. If you can not communicate well and clearly then you are going to have problems as friends, dating, and in your marriage. Negotiation (aka conflict resolution) is a HUGE key in marriage and communication is the soul of negotiation.

No a guy wouldn't do that. He likes you.
But he may think of you as a friend rather than someone to date. Try talking to him about it, or try asking him out. See what he does. If you are really good friends it shouldn't be a problem to talk about it.

It sounds like your friend really likes you, but maybe he is scared a serious relationship would end the friendship if things didnt work out. I think you should talk to him and see what he is thinking.

I think he really likes you or is being nice just to get some @%##& If he did not like you he would wait for you to call.

this one's kinda tough. he may just like you as a friend and want to talk 2 u b/c he knows he can trust you. or, he may like you as more, you never know. go with your instincts, i had this same prob w/ my best friend, and he ended up loving me 2!!!

I highly doubt he would call if he didnt like you... i'd just straight out and ask him if he still likes you. mind you, i'm a guy, but that's what i'd do if i was a girl.

i believe he likes you but dont know how to tell you, he doesnt want to make you mand or hurt the friendship.
