Humans survived the last one rather well, but they were cleverer than us, and hadn't screwed up the planet.

Sure. Just because New York is under a few kilometers of ice cap doesn't mean there is anything wrong with real estate in Arizona. In fact, it would be a lot nicer... New Orleans looks good because the freezing of the poles will lock up a lot of water and actually lower sea levels, making areas that are now flooded or flood-prone habitable again. Besides, we lived through the last ice age without any technology more advanced than an atlatl and came out swinging!

If we can get to Central Africa or England, during the last Ice age it only covered about 1/3 -1/2of the northern and southern hemispheres OK. But if we had a climate cascade we might either starve or freeze. I'm trying to stock pile tasty humans.Ha Ha Ha. The ice was 3 miles thick in places. Lot of ice hu

If people keep getting fatter, then we might be able to, but only for a few weeks. But I don't think the next Ice Age is going to happen. In my opinion, it'll be the Heat Age instead.

Somalia and Ethiopia are getting hotter and drier year on year. It is now virtually impossible to grow crops and the extreme heat makes it difficult to sustain life. If it gets much hotter, heat stroke and other problems will make it untenable for human habitation.

Ice on the other hand has only one problem - cold. As the scientists working at the pole have shown it is quite easy to make habitats to keep them warm. There is an abundance of water and the air is kept denser and more easy to breath.

With the abundance of water it would be easy to run many methods of power generation. Whilst conventional crops would require heated greenhouses, many ways of creating food from algae, plankton and fermentation of other bio-masses can be used.

Living in extreme cold is far easier than living in extreme heat.
