My b/f and I have been together 6 months, I have 2 daughters from a previous relationship and am busy most the time...same with him he goes to school and works obsessivly.
The other night he asked me questions about what would I say if he asked to live with me, would it bother me because the place was so tiny and he would pay. I evaded answering fully then he told me he was just wondering what I would answer.
Later he asked me about apartments for rent near me and I said oh you would have to deal with children then and just said "I wont be living with you" ::note- not in a rude wway just plainly::
Very confused on what he meant with the whole convo and what he was getting at?

He asked if you wanted to live together, and you 'ummed and erred'. Since you seem to have poo-pooed the idea, he's gone for the next best option which is living close by.
If he's been dating you for six months, he knows all about the kids already. He has probably read your reluctance to live together as you being worried about your kids, and/or his ability to handle your kids.
It's up to you where the relationship is going. The signs from him seem to indicate he wants to try something closer. You either want him in your life or you don't, and he's trying to make it easier for you to find out...

He just wants to be with you. but if he wants to live with you. he should ask you if he wants to marry you. thats the proper thing to do. Living together when your not married, is really bad thing. Its a disgusting thing to do.
Obviously he just wants to be with you for a while and not forever, if he didnt ask to marry you. he's going to dump you in the future. probably. that's what happens with most of those kinds of relationships.

maybe he was thinking you didn't want to live with him so hes thinkin screw it ill just try to live close to her?
