I'm going to New york in 2 weeks and I can't find a hotel .. please help .. I'd like it to be in a nice /safe area and of course for a reasonable price. Thanks!

I just went to NYC and found a reasonable (for the NY area that is) hotel in Rutherford NJ, it is only 12 miles from NY. The ExtendedStay in Secacaus (sp?) has a bus that goes into the city Mon-Fri. The ExtendedStay in Rutherford is only 5 miles from that one and was $103 for one bed and was a very nice hotel.

I am sorry to disappoint you, but there are no UNexpensive hotels in New York City.

days inn, in times square, we spent $99.00 a night. Not the best , but we felt safe.
It was clean and small, but its NY, not Vegas.
