Does anyone know where I can get an exact number of US troops that have died and what branch of the military they where in?

I believe it is 2865 as of right now. That, of course, doesn't include the wounded who have since died. I have never seen any statistics as to the branches of service.

United States military deaths in WWII...407,300. and no one said anything because they had the stomachs for the war and new that it was the right thing to do. So shut up about a few thousand that have given their lives for something they volunteered for. (Yes, I am a vet.) war is not something that anybody wants, but it is necessary.
