I lost contact with a close friend that was stationed on the USS Guam in 1990. I know he once lived in New York and is around 36 years old now. I'm not sure if he stayed in the service. How can I locate him?

try google, classmates.com, reunion.com for starters. Also try the white pages, that also is a good source. My First Shirt from my first duty station located me via classmates. I hadn't seen him since 1980.

Google or Yahoo search to see if there is an official site already set up. I know the crewmates of the USS America have done this. Do a search in Yahoo Groups. A lot of the veterans of different ships have formed groups to find and talk to old shipmates. Click on the link on the left of the Yahoo homepage, then enter your ship's name in the search box there. You may need to use the ship number (EX: CVA-66) as the country of Guam is listed a lot. You can also try www.military.com
Good Luck!

I'm retired military and all the services have a monthly newspaper or magazine that you can subscribe to, like the Army Times, Navy TImes, Air Force Times. There is a section that deals with people looking for other persons and they give you the information as to how to look. I will get the address for the navy times so that you might be able to locate your friend. Go to http://www.navytimes.com and click on forums and this will take you to http://www.militarycity.com/discussions. You will need to register and then you will be able to post in this forum and get the help that you need. wishing you luck in finding your friends

They are politicians, of course they would pay themselves. If the GOP destroys the country, what would they reign over? And look online how many bills Harry Reid has not even put to a vote in the Senate. Nvm, did it for you.

I'm looking for shipmates from the Lexington! I know there's a site for it. I guarantee that someone will post it on here and help us both out. Have you tried Navy.gov yet?
