you might also try Nizoral shampoo - its available over the counter... if it is not psoriasis (which being white is what it sounds like) it might be seborriec dermititis, which tends to be caused by a fungus... if it is, nizoral will help dramatically.... my head used to always itch and flake and scab and i didnt know there was anything to use until a doctor asked why i was scratching so much... made a huge difference... but how old is your daughter?

It sounds like psoriasis and the whiteness may possibly be vitiligo, both of which can be due to a candida albicans fungus overgrowth in the intestine. Check out the basic information at www.hufa.org - the yeast link.
I am fighting a systemic yeast infestation. I have dandruff, vitiligo (not of the forehead), tinea versicolor on the neck, rashes, had nail fungus, and other stuff, all due to candida (yeast). I don't have it under control yet, but I am working on it.

same thing is going on with me i had to go to my doctor and get a special shampoo. but you could possibly apply some "sulfur8" you can get it at any beauty supply store and sometimes cvs as long as she has some kind of leave in conditioner that is medicated it should work. as for her face ( again same with me) i suggest hydrocortisone cream...yes the same one for rashes and hives... it should only be used temporarily because it isn't the most natural thing you can do but if you apply it to her face it should clear up by Monday. i also have eczema and so my doctor prescribes elodel for my face and body. good luck i know what she is going through it first appeared in HS and the Hyrocortisone cream work like a charm (ie no more embarrassment)... you can definitely get it in a pharmacy

Can you take her to see the Family Doctor?
A Dermotologist can tell you exactly what this is..Maybe it is psoriasis like the other people are saying.

It sounds like psoriasis. I would take her to a dermatologist who could prescribe something to help. Good luck!

Go ask your pharmacist and tell him the problem and tell him what you used so far. The pharmacist are very knowable and know quite a bit when you have medical problems.
