Ok, of course yes, I will agree with everyone else and say that i believe that a CHI is the best one on the market, it is the only iron that doesn't put off a negative charge and helps condition the hair, but if you are looking for somthing in the meanwhile, this is what i suggest, you could go to a Sally's Beauty Supply, anyone can buy from there and get a Hot Tools, Ceramic Iron, it has a positive charge also, has a temperature control, and a safety on the plug, and comes with a warranty if registered online. The key to using a flat iron is this, make sure that you use something with a little bit of oil in it, so that the iron will glide on the hair and it will help condition it well. This is what I suggest.

Babyliss, or if you got the money, CHI. And get the ceramic Ionic type. Not too narrow for short hair, or not too wide if you have thick long hair. They will cost between 90 and 145.00 dollars but it would last forever, They are professional products, and worth the money.

yes a CHI is in my opinion the very best kind of flat iron. it's expensive but worth it. before the relaxers, only a CHI would tame my very wavy curly wild hair.
