Why can't i burp?

Question

All my life i have been unable to burp.I have tried and tried and i can't do it.I am not bothered just curious as to why i can't.I do not suffer because of it and i don't pass wind the other end excessivley because of it either but i have never heard of this happening to anyone else.

Drinking large or fizzy drinks does not work for me,nor swallowing air.

Dont want to be near you when you do burp. You ll have to fish me out of ten tons of vomit.

nothing unusual about it; it is the same for me. but i was brought up to regard burping as a disgusting thing to do, so, really, you train your body not to do it, and do not even feel the need of it; as your body is not used to it, it is then hard to make the proper muscles work to relieve you of gas; i guess it goes out another way, but have never really gone into depth in this particular subject.

If you are having a healthy diet, plenty of fruit a vegetables, plenty of water, you probably won't burp very often.
Some people do it deliberately, usually when they are drinking.
Now I think of it I don't burp, but I don't want to.

You should swallow more air when eating or drinking if you want to burp, but I don't find it exciting.
