A product called "brilliance" by Aveda. After it is dry, rub it in your palms and rub it over your hair, don't use too much. You can also buy a pump in a small bottle to use during the day if needed. It adds shine, too.

brush it only when it's wet. Once you apply products and styling gels etc. do not brush it or comb it or even pick it. Avoid running your fingers through it becuase that will fluff it out even more! Try this, once it is wet and when it looks right, try spraying it all over the top with spritz hairspray and then don't touch it. You can go all day like that. Avoid too much spray!
Good luck.

Use a texture softener. It doesn't completely relax the hair nor does is curl it like a texturizer, it takes your natural hair and keeps it manageable. "Just 4 Me" lasts for up to 12 weeks

Keep a spray bottle with you with a little gel in it and re-wet your hair after it gets wind blown. ( or use wet hands) Don't separate the curls after your hair is dry. Ask other girls in your neighborhood what they use because the weather in your area makes a big difference.
