i have been talking to a boy for a while, but we have never "really" met... He is best friends with my cousin who is also my best friend... We are both from around the same town. He travels for work, and I am in college.. So neither one of us are at home. Well i was going to have to stay where i am for Thanksgiving and he said that he would come get me and take me with him to his families. Which was extremely sweet. But now I am going to go home for Thanksgiving, and he still wants me to spend the day with him. and i really really want to bc he is great.. The only problem is we are going to be with his family. ANd i have never met him, and Im going to be meeting his family that day?! I dont know what to do..."

you are answering your own question. if you feel uncomfortable about meeting his family don't go. You might hvae talk to him toand tell me the reason so that he won't think that you don't like his family. Or just go and enjoy the day with the family, it could make for a wonderful day. But the decision is yours and yours alone.

I think that you should spend the majority of the time with your family, then go with him and his family! Its best to do that or do it the other way around!
I have a question that I just posted............. Why cant I get the man that I want?

I would just try to get away from the parents with him and really get a chance to talk to him and really meet him. When it comes to his parents, just be you. Obviously, don't go telling them every little details about yourself but don't be a complete suck up. I once did that and they didn't like me...at all. Just be polite and all that. I don't need to tell people that though. Good luck and try not to stuff yourself too much with turkey.

I feel uncomfortable just thinking about it. I wouldn't do it. Your first meeting should not be with his family at a holiday. make another meeting date instead and spend the holiday with people you know.

I get baaaaad vibes about that . Really, step back and look at it objectively .
Too soon, too fast, too intense.
Your own family is where you belong . Get together with him when it is more casual. A family dinner at holiday time is not it . Trust me . It is not safe by any means .
