Today was a weird day, it was negative where I was and I tried to think positive. Maybe because it is around the holidays and people just get funny with their moods.

I am sad because I owe you an apology and haven't given it yet. This is in regard to my question about the dogs of the Dow here
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlzqXl5SbvKzlmMgUaNlj5Psy6IX?qid=20061111072407AAaAAhh
In attempt at making amends let me describe what actually took place here. When I first formulated that question last weekend I was in a somewhat playful mood and having already posted some serious questions (probably too serious for a weekend) I decided to counterbalance them with some lighter, even trivial questions which this one was originally intended to be.
My intent was to post this question in Polls & Surveys and look for a lot of humorous and/or ridiculous responses. But when I got to the point where Y!A makes their (often ludicrous) suggestions for category placement, at the top of their list was Pets. Which is when I did a 360 turnabout and possibly performed the ultimate "sin" of mixing apples with strawberries (or in this case, stocks with dogs). I thought to myself at this point, "Here's a good opportunity to get some information on the problem of rabies and its simple solution out there."
So I turned a trivial question into a serious one without changing the formulation of the question (which I rather liked). As fate would have it, the question never attracted the attention I hoped for and thought it deserved. But in the process I kind of painted myself into a corner. What I mean is, having turned the question into one dealing with real pets I felt obligated to choose a best answer that dealt with it that way. Please know that I consider your answer clever, true and certainly worthy of recognition. Had the question actually been posted in P & S and had I found your answer there (especially among the mostly lumps of coal often found there) I surely would have chosen it as Best Answer.
So ....please accept my heartfelt apology. Then I can stop feeling so sad.
P.S. - How perceptive of you to have noticed the sadness!
P.P.S. - The ultimate irony here is that the question likely would have fared far better (even with the rabies link) where I originally intended it to go in P & S.

No it's fine here. There has been a sadness in the air but it finally lifted today. I guess because my husband is off from work and actually spending a day at home with me.
