They definitely don't believe Jesus was the messiah. Are they awaiting a messiah similar to the Jewish messiah -- a great human leader who will bring peace on earth for all mankind? Is the messiah of any importance in Islam?

Actually, we DO believe that Jesus (saws) is the Messiah. We do believe he was born of a miraculous birth, was a wonderful Prophet of his time, performed many miracles by the will of God, and left a legacy that all can benefit from. We also believe that he will return to destroy the anti-Christ and restore the world to peace before the Day of Judgement. There are only two topics that Muslims and Christians disagree on when it comes to Jesus. The first is that Jesus is God's son or a part of God; we believe God is One, there's no other like Him, He begets not, nor was He begotten, no one deserve worship but Him, and only He can judge us. We also do not believe in the crucifixion; we believe that instead of letting him be slaughtered, God rose him up to heaven where he awaits until his time to return. He is the only human in heaven whose body has not yet died. Aside from these two issues, we agree on pretty much everything else!

Hope it helps you and good luck and God bless!

No. Muslims don't believe in Jesus as being the Messiah. Jesus was a prophet who had done his duty of spreading out the teachings of the religion.

Muslims don't believe that there will be a messiah. The great human leader who will bring peace on earth for all mankind has already come (Muhammad).

But there will be a man who rules the earth with justice for ten years.

The Messiah that Muslims believe will come along is not like the Jewish messiah.

In Islam, there will come a day when Armageddon comes to earth, and he will be a threat to all man kind. Muslims will not follow him and they will know that he is a liar.

Jesus then will return, and he will be the only one who will defeat Armageddon, Palestine will then be free, and... well,... it's a long story...

Try looking it up on the site below if you want a lot of details...

Good luck.

Yes Muslims believe that Jesus will return to the earth as Messiah. I believe Jesus Christ will return as a Khalifa/Caliph/ King and begin the second cycle of human history. Imam Mehdi will join the fight with the prophet Jesus (pbuh) in Armageddon to defeat Dajjall (anti-christ).

Actually, we're waiting for the return of Jesus (pbuh). Won't the Christians be surprised when he opens his arms to us as well!

Along with Jesus will be the Mahdi, whose name means Guided One. The Mahdi is not a prophet, but a very wise human leader, who will call all people toward truth and faith around the same time as the return of Jesus.

Yes, We believe that Jesus will return to Earth in the "last days". He will kill the anti-christ. He will slaughter the pig and break the crosss (both acts are symbolic to that which the people are in disagreement about....eating pork and worshipping Jesus, saying he died on a cross for others sins)!!! Jesus will make it clear that he taught neither!

I don't know but all this putting it on one person to change the world is kind of absurd and even a little self indulgent...I mean...why lift a finger if someone is going to come along and set everything right for us?...it passes on responsibility and obligation and any work that would be involved in making things better....if we want to make this world better we have to do it ourselves regardless of what we or anyone believes...when we can set aside our own personal beliefs and work towards a goal w/ a positive outcome for all walks of life we will demonstrate humanities evolution towards a better resolution...and isn't that what we all want anyway?...

well they are waiting for their messiah, in the same manner germany was waiting for theirs, prior to 1939.

but are they waiting for TheMosheeach, Who is Evareem and not jewish? more than likely not, any more than the rest of this world is, according to the book of Revelation. since this book reveals, the many are waiting for their messiahs and not TheMosheeach.

TheTrue Mosheeach, would not distort any of G-D'S name for Him in TheTorah, by calling HimSelf a new testament jewish with an altered j name. but more than likly will be the very same Adam who is put to death by G-D on the tree of life, to return as adam and chaooah. because TheG-D of TheTorah is actualy always giving this. dispite the strong delusional mental disbelief of this world, pretending TheG-D is never giving to us TheTorah.
