If you've never owned a bird, do a lot of research. Be prepared for noise and messes. Cockatiels and Quackers are the most social and budgies are low maintence. Be carefull of love birds as they can get quite aggressive especialy the peach faced.
My peach faced named Chester turned mean when he started laying eggs. ;)

A cockatiel is a pretty nice bird. I personally prefer Quakers though. I named a Quaker Scooby-Doo and every time it heard the theme song it started squawking!!! Be careful buying the cage though, mine was really smart and learned how to open up the cage!!!

A cockatiel. I have four of them, two mating. Just be sure to keep there cage clean. I have found that they are the easiest to care for.

I grew up with peach faced love birds. Overall a pretty clean bird, not too loud (still loud but not as loud as others), and very sweet birds (smart too).

Love birds are great but you should get one that has been hand fed and only get one, as if you get two, they love each other, if you getone, they bond with you
