There would be nothing more discouraging than to be overwhelmed by the thought that there was no God, and we live for a short mortal life, and then death comes and is final. It feels good to believe in God, because it gives man purpose, for without Him, there is no purpose or point. With God, all things are possible, and thought wants to go there and stay for awhile (like eternally), because life on earth is not anyone's dream of paradise.

Believing the Truth from the Scriptures builds faith that God will fulfill all the promises and prophecies that have not been fulfilled up to this point.
There are many prophecies that have come true that were for told centuries ahead of time.
Approx. 300 prophecies concerning the birth and life of Jesus have also been fulfilled.
You can't see air and yet you know the you live because of it as you feel it against your face when the wind blows!

people are scared of being alone and of death. Believing in God gives people hope that once they die they will go to heaven instead of just turn into dust. Also, telling someone your problems helps relieve stress. God always listens because he is always around so people that believe in god will always have at least one friend.

You can't see wind. How do you still believe it's there? You can't see our (apparently) ancestors that were monkey, so how do you know they existed? Scientific evidence shows me nothing! You can't see a lot of things, yet science shows that its there. But science doesn't know everything (not that science is a person). Some things are beyond our understanding because of the present world we live in, if that makes sense.

If you don't believe, there are no words that can explain it. I have seen Him, in many forms, but then, I do have the eyes to see.

Hence the word "faith". That is the glory in believing in His almighty being. Seeing isn't believing; believing is seeing. If you believe you will eventually see Him.

It just feels good. I think it is security in knowing what the future will bring. Where you will spend your eternity.

it doesnt to me. it's like believing that your are safe witha security system in your house that you cant see. i wouldnt take the risk of leavin my door unlocked and windows open, personally.
