I opened a bag of Lay's salt and vinegar potato chips, and was enjoying them. Just an average day right? Wrong! I get about half way into the bag, and I feel something soft and thin in the bag. I grab it and pull it out, come to find it's a piece of toilet tissue. I'm thinking to myself, "What the ******$#@#$!?". There was a piece of toilet tissue with brown stains on it, inside my bag of potato chips! I know I didn't put it there, because I JUST opened the bag! Someone working in the factory must have done it! Can I sue? Who would believe me? I'll never eat another chip. 'Bet you can't just eat one!' You damn right I can't! I'll never eat them again!

Congratulations you're on your way to being rich. Get on the phone with your lawyer!

You would need evidence.
* Take the bag with the tissue to an attorney.
* Have him locate the manufacturing point from the printing on the bag.
* Have a DNA analysis run for every one at the plant.
*Pinpoint the suspect and sue the company.
Or else live with the fact that you get **** on even buying chips.

The answer is yes, but don't expect a Lawyer to take your case without a large retainer. You will have a hard time recovering any punitive damages, so what good will it do? You will be out your own time and money, so you're best to just move on.

Probably not what you want to hear, but it's the best advise you can get for free!

IF you are telling he truth, then yes, you can sue them.

However, if you are trying to make some money by scamming Lay's I wouldn't try it. They will perform chemical tests on the paper you found, and will be able to conclusively prove whether or not it had been sealed in the bag. And, if you placed it in there yourself, hoping to make a little money, not only will you lose the lawsuit, you'll be sued by Lay's and possibly serve jail time.

The Bible says not to go to law against someone. Why is everyone always looking for an easy buck? By the way, if you did sue, and won, the lawyer gets almost all of the money you are awarded. If you want a lot of money, spend less and work more.

I think that if you look at the crisp packet then there is generally a number which you can call if you are 'not entirely satisfied with the product'. I don't know what happens when you ring this number, but maybe you can at least get a refund.

You might not get far with suing them, but call the 800 number and complain nicely. You'll get refunds and coupons and free stuff.
