i've always had black hair, but for the past 4 months i've been trying to dye it a bright red. i've bleached it and tried every different brand dye and volume developer i can find and they all don't stay longer than a week. my hair always fades into a orangish-blonde color and i hate it!!!! can anyone please suggest something?

You need to go to the professionals I'm afraid.

My husband and I own a hair salon --- you need to go to a professional and see what they can do to help you correct the mistakes you made by trying to do your hair at home. Trust me - it's better to let the pros handle this! If you have over processed your hair with bleach, it is certainly not going to hold that color! Esp. if it's store bought color and you are using store bought shampoos and conditioners.... Your hair may be so porous and damaged that the color has nothing to hold onto!

Get an appt with a good salon and good luck! :0)

If you buy the really expensive kind then it should work better and try two bottles instead of one. But don't try to dye it too much because it will end up falling out. That is what happend to my cousin. He's bald now.

You shouldn't kill your hair
