Cheese that's been aged for at least two months has all or at least most of the lactose out of it. I'm lactose intollerant and very sensitive at that, so I don't say this lightly. The source I've listed is from the Yale-New Haven Hospital website. About halfway down the page, they talk about lactose intollerance and aged cheeses. They also name a few commonly aged cheeses. Hope this helps!

That's a new one to me. I was lactose intolerant for about 4 years. Couldn't eat aged cheese at all, or anything dairy. However, I got an email about a product that was guaranteed to work so you could have dairy again or your money back. I tried it and it worked.
If you are interested go to http://www.lactagen.com
To me it was a win-win situation, either I would not be lactose intolerant or I'd get my money back for trying. If you try it just make sure you follow it step by step for 38 days and on the 39th day you can have the pizza or cheeseburger. I've been able to have dairy for about 1-1/2 years now with no problems.
Also, if you decide to try it I can give you a coupon code. If it still works it will give you a $15 discount. Just email me through Yahoo! Answers if you're interested.
Good luck!
ps: I forgot to mention that there are plenty of products out there that are lactose free. There are several cheese that are good and some that aren't. I can't remember the brand, but I made a lasagna with a lactose free mozzarella and it was great, I could even eat the mozzarella by the slice. But the same company made a cheddar (cheddar is my favorite) that tasted like cardboard. If you use Lactaid, you body may become ammune to it. That's what happened to me. Give Lactagen a try, you can't lose - either you'll have dairy again or you'll get your money back.

Check in other supermarkets. You should be able to find one with vegan cheese. Daiya cheese is the latest most popular. daiyafoods. com. They have a zip code search on the site. You can use soy milk, almond, rice. Krogers should have soy, look for SILK. brand.
