Why is it that we enjoy the smell of our own but not other peoples.

This was actually on TV a few weeks back - its to do with the chemicals in the fart and your body recognizing the chemicals in your own farts which makes them acceptable to you only. SOmeone elses fart has different chemicals which your body or nose repels as foul xx

Well... there is a warm, familiar, comforting smell sometimes from our own farts.
But... Sometimes someone else's farts give the same feeling. Perhaps if they smell the same?
And contrariwise, my farts sometimes smell different to normal, and I find that very disturbing.
Puzzled, but trying to be serious!

its only you who enjoy the smell of your own fart. well i should give you lots of pulse food so that you can fart from morning till evening non stop. well how old are you? you ask a question that my 3 year old boy asked me two weeks ago.
