"Jesus said, I am the light of the world, if you follow me you wont walk in darkness but have the light of life." John 8
so enlightenement comes from Messiah Jesus
Isaiah 9:6 predicted Jesus the messiah to be God-700 bce-and no one disagrees with this cause it is so clear
"Unto us a child is born, a son is given, and he will be the wonderful counselor , almighty God, and the prince of peace."
Jesus taught to be born again so you dont have to go to hell and will go to heaven "Hell is gnashing teeth forever, weeping and cursing, cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 19-22nd chapters and in there is also the enlightenment of the joy of heaven too
John 12:48 "He that rejecteth me and recieveth not my words hath one that judges them, the words that I have spoken." John 12 vs 48
in John 3 he tells how to be enlightened "Except you repent and be born again you can not see the kingdom of heaven."
well what do you think enlightenement is-Jesus or rejecting the joy of Him?

No where in the bible is there anything on enlightenment.
Its save or unsaved. Enlightenment is more of the belief that you can achieve a higher place of peace and attain godlike abilities.
Being save means going to heaven to be with Jesus. There a heaven and a hell is the Christian belief.
In hell a persons soul will be tormented forever.
and if a person doesnt believe that Jesus is the one and only son of God and savior. And that he is the only way to get to Heaven. And that their is a hell where unbelivers will be tormented forever.
Well according to our beliefs the people who dont believe that are going to go to Hell and We are going to Heaven.
Alot of people think that ridiculous. Well I guess we will find out when we die who's right in their beliefs.

Ben be careful mixing the words of Jesus with the ideas of others. What is being said in revelations is very different from the true teachings of Jesus.
Jesus taught a clear and concise thought system that was intended to lead us out of the darkness we can create with our unloving thoughts. His true teachings are neither supported by or even agree with many of the other parts of the bible.

Sigh...
The problem with your entire question is this. You seem to want to convince non-religious people (or maybe religious people too) that accepting Jesus is enlightenement. But you use only arguments from the bible. The problem is that non-religious people, and a lot of religious people too, do not accept the bible as a book containing nothing but the truth. There are numerous wise words said in the bible, and they truly are worth considering, but you should consider that there are contradictions too. You, as a religious person, are probably not able to accept this, but you should accept that other people do see the flaws in the bible, and therefor cannot be convinced using only statements from this book.
Let me put it like this. Let's assume I would try to convince you that evolution really did happen, and all my arguments came from Darwin's book the Descent of Man. You probably do not accept this book to be true, although Darwin made a lot of observations in it, that actually are true (he described similarities between animals, or between apes and man and so in. These similarities actually exist, and the ways in which they are described are objective), although you probably won't agree with the conclusions he made from them. You wouldn't be convinced, because you don't agree with the truth from the book.
It's exactly the same thing you are doing now, and it won't help, so just accept that. Live your life the way you choose to, follow the rules laid out in the bible, try to be a good man, and help people, not by convincing them of stuff they won't accept, but by cheering them up, giving them love and understanding, giving them food or clothing, whatever.
ps. and please try a more understandable way of english, it's very hard to point out exactly what you mean to say in your question. Try to keep it short and simple.

Revelation grew to become into written down via John who did no longer even comprehend it by way of fact a great number of it grew to become into given in signs and indicators and emblems however the 1st area of that scripture talks on the subject of the devil, the wild beast and the fake prophet and then, it says the area you're quoting. The wild beast isn't an animal. it particularly is the political governments with men as their leaders, so that's symbolic. The fake prophet is the fake religions who claimed to symbolize God yet lied approximately him, so that's symbolic. The lake of hearth and sulphur is defined in the Bible by way of fact the 2d dying so, right here in this scripture that's symbolic. Given each physique of those symbols, why might you interpret being tormented day and night continuously and ever as literal?????? Daniel writing that some who're resurrected will adventure eternal abhorrence shows that they are going to be hated continuously, no longer tormented or burned. who's feeding you all this incorrect information?

David Israel,
You are a Christian. I do know that you seem to have some psychological disorders and therefore may not be capable of hearing dissent. Nonetheless, I must tell you david that I think this evil and deceptive form of missionizing you are perpetrating is degrading Christianity and the good, normal christians who practice it.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. On the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). Clearly this isn't about jesus.
. And Isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess learning basic hebrew wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. On the side, Isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the government (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity.

Yes, I would agree with that statement. The period referred to as "The Enlightenment" occurred many centuries after Jesus, and was typified more by scientific breakthroughs than by any kind of growth in religion. Enlightenment comes from diligent study and careful experimentation, not some divine intervention.
