My partner's tongue has been sore for about four weeks on the both sides and my tongue is sore in the middle. What could be the reason?

Maybe Oral thrush ???? Is there a white layer on your tongues and then red bits ?? The white is a sure sign of thrush xx

Sounds like it is possible that your family has eaten something hot, spicy, or acidic. If this is a possibility don't worry. Apply ice to the area, rinse with warm salt water, and make sure to brush and floss as usual. The inflammation will dissipate in a few days. There are many other factors that can create red painful bumps on the tongue. Since your whole family is experiencing the symptoms, it is possible that there is an infection present. Just to be sure, please visit your primary physician for a strep test. Strep bacteria may cause these red bumps you are describing. Sore throat is not always a symptom of strep.

Sounds like Oral Thrush, you need to go to your GP and get some Nystatin.It tastes like Almonds
