In the Greek alphabet they are the equivalent to our A and Z. Alpha and Omega is the beginning and the end of the Greek alphabet. This means that He is the first and last. He is the beginning of any situation and He is the end. He has the first word and the last. May God Bless

Alpha and Omega (Gr. "Ïο 'ÎλÏα και Ïο Ω") is an appellation of Jesus and God in the book of Revelation (verses 1:8, 21:6, and 22:13). Its meaning is found in the fact that Alpha(Î) and Omega(Ω) are respectively the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. This would be similar to referring to someone in English as "the A to Z". Thus, twice when the title appears it is further clarified with the additional title "the Beginning and the End" (21:6, 22:13).

In genisis He says he is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He is eternal...or that is what the Christian/Protestant faith believes. But you know if you were to believe and have faith in Jesus, God, The Holy Spirit...He can do wonders...All I have to say is God is GOOD!

It's from the beginning to the end in the Greek alphabet.
So the equivalent implication in English would be
"He's the whole A to Z. From start, to finish."

no they are the beginning and ending letters of the greek alphabet....it is saying that god is the beginning and the end of all things. When all has ended he will still be there. Before it all began, he was there.
