I like my guy friend a lot. He is all I can think about...honestly. I can't concentrate on anything else and my friends are sick of it. He really likes this other girl, but it is obvious to me and all of mine and hers mutual friends that I actually like him more than she does. He knows I like him, but we r still only really good friends. It's driving me crazy....if he has to like her instead of me cant she even call him instead of making him call her?!?! It hurts to see them together or to hear her name or to see her simply because I like him too much. What can I do? How can I end the pain?
One of my friends told him I like him and since then I've admitted my jealousy of the girlhe likes. Our friends agree that I like him more than she does! Honestly? I don't think she deserves him. Just...help! And don't tell me to ask him out...he likes her, not me. thanx!

If you were to approach him and tell him assertively that you like him at that you want him to get rid of the other girl and be with you instead, he would do that.

Just so you know.

I am so sorry for you. I understand how you feel. Just give him time and keep caring for him as you have. How much more could a guy want? If you keep telling him over and over it might make him feel uncomfortable, so just be as good a friend as you can. Sometimes patience is the only remedy. You seem like a very nice girl so hang in there! Good luck

Obviously, you're young, so emotions seem to hit you like a ton of bricks and you can't help it. You need to take it easy and look at what's really going on. Communication is the only way he'll know how you feel. Otherwise, you're never going to know. Talk about your feelings, but be prepared to have him say things you may not want to hear. But be strong. You'll get through this.

If I were you I would do the anonymous thing to see if it intrigues him and if it does then let him know it was you. If he already knows that you like him then he may be playing it safe because he doesnt want to hurt you. Truelly he may not be ready for a commitment that you want. Men arent totally stupid, just sometimes. It may sound messed up but he still wants to play and he probably know if he were to be with you now he couldnt do that. Learned from personal experince I pushed a guy to date me and we are still friends but it is deffinately not the samd as it was.

Maybe if you treated him more like the girl he likes. I mean no-one likes being obsessed about, all you are really doing is pushing him and your friends away, girl get a life, there's more to it than playing the broken-hearted diva.

Some guys are born lucky to be such heroes, some girls just never learned not to let a heap of muscle, bone and tendons to torment their life.

He's just not into you. Stop with the drama and move on. Whether she "deserves" him or not doesn't mean he has to be with you. Get busy with your life and stop monitoring his every move.
